ANTHRAX PROBLEM

SOLUTION ANNOUNCED. INFECTION FROM GOAT HAIR. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, February 16. The Home Secretary, Sir John Gilmour, stated that experts of his department had solved the anthrax problem, which was a dread disease. It had now been found that it came from goat hair imported into this country and used in many industries. For a considerable time experts had an experimental station working on the problem and the solution found would necessitate the Home Secretary asking the industry to send all imported goat hair to the centre to be disinfected in order that the risk to works handling it might be wiped out.
