LOS ANGELES TO NEWARK. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) New York, November 8. A message from Newark (New Jersey) states that Captain Eddie Rickenbacker’s big twin-motored transport plane landed at Newark airport from Los Angeles at 8.45 p.m., Eastern standard time, on Thursday, setting a transcontinental record of 12 hours 4 minuts for transport planes. The old record, held by himself, was 13 hours 2 minutes.
