CONFERENCE AT WELLINGTON.

Wellington, November 9.
A manufacturers’ general conference will be held here next week. It will be opened by the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates. Among the proposals to be discussed will be the setting up of a permanent industrial commission and the provision of facilities to assist manufacturers in working out in those industries where necessary schemes for coordination and other methods of further increasing the efficiency of the manufacturing industries as a whole.
