FINAL WASH UP
BILLS BEFORE PARLIAMENT.
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, November 9.
The final clearing of the measures marked for passage to the Statute Book before the adjournment of the session took place in the House of Representatives late this afternoon. After the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Bill had been passed, the House adjourned at 6.20 until 10.30 to-morrow, when the measures passed will be received back from the Legislative Council which will consider them this evening. The Companies (Bondholders Incorporation) Bill was introduced by Gov-ernor-General’s Message and read a first time so that it could be circulated and considered during the recess. The Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill, Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Bill, Woodland’s Drainage Board (Rating) Validation Bill, Noxious Weeds Amendment Bill, Auckland Transport Board Empowering Bill, Wellington City Council Empowering Bill and Native Purpose Bill were put through the remaining stages and passed.
