EXPELLED FROM SPAIN
FOREIGN JOURNALISTS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.15 p.m.) London, November 9. The Madrid correspondent of The Times says that constant complaints regarding information published abroad made by the Spanish Press culminated in the arrest of many newspaper correspondents. Mr Reginald Calvert, the Daily Telegraph correspondent, was taken from his home, but the British Embassy later secured his release. Madamoiselle Thierry, correspondent of the Paris Loeuvre, was arrested and expelled due, it is believed, to articles on the Catalonian situation. Other journalists have been arrested and expelled from Spain as undesirables.
