When parking, it is advisable to apply the hand brake noiselessly and steadily. This saves wear and is a practice followed by every driver who is considerate of his car. Sweden spent 101 million kroner on its roads during 1932, according to a report just published. Of this amount one-half was expended for upkeep and the rest for new roads. The report states that motorists can now travel through the entire country from north to south and from east to west without risk at an average speed of 50 kiloms an hour.
