Britain has now about half a million women drivers of motor cars, of which total some 150,000 own their own cars. There were few labour disputes in Britain last year apart from those in the coal and cotton trades. Of 389 disputes, involving 382,000 workers, as many as 346,900 workers were either miners or cotton workers. The number of working days lost in disputes was over six millions.
