POSITION IN CANADA. A MARKED IMPROVEMENT. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, August 28. The Bureau of Statistics reported today that 24,000 persons were absorbed into Canadian industry in July. A survey of industrial plants showed an aggregate of 804,219 employed on August 1, the highest employment level for the past twelve months. In four months, April, May, June and July, 104,000 persons were added to the industrial pay-roll. Altogether it is estimated that the number of unemployed in Canada has been reduced by 200,000 in the past four months.
