FREE STATE POLITICS FUSION OF OPPOSITION PARTIES O’DUFFY AS LEADER (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, August 29. General O’Duffy, leader of the National Guard (Blue Shirts), has returned to Dublin in connection with a movement towards the 'federation of all the Opposition parties under his leadership.

The Dublin correspondent of the Daily Telegraph learns definitely that all obstacles to fusion have now been removed, but official announcements aro not expected for a while. The Cosgrave Party will lose its ’ distinctive but clumsy Irish title and join forces with the Centre Party and the National Guard under the title of "National Party,” all- accepting General O’Duffy’s leadership. It is expected that Independents and others will join, thus presenting a united front, whose great aim is to secure reconciliation with England before the havoc of the economic war is irretrievable,
