ENGINE TROUBLE

PORT FREMANTLE. REPAIRS IN AUSTRALIA. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, August 29. Owing to trouble which has been discovered in connection with the starboard engine of the Port Fremantle the vessel has been delayed and now leaves here on Thursday morning for Australia. She arrived here from New York via Auckland last Thursday. In the ordinary course of events she would have gone to Brisbane before Sydney, but owing to the engine trouble she will go direct to Sydney, where repairs will be effected. The trouble could be repaired here, but she has cargo for Australian consignees. She will cross the Tasman on the port engine alone.
