The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Wainui arrived from Oamaru early yesterday morning. She discharged a quantity of general cargo and after loading cargo and mails for Australia sailed in the evening for Melbourne.'

The New Zealand loading of the C. and D. Line steamer Port Campbell was begun at Bluff yesterday. At this port she takes in 14.000 freight carcasses of frozen meat, 150 casks of tallow, 100 bales of wool, 20 bales of rabbitskins, and a quantity of sundries. Completion will probably be reached to-morrow night and departure then taken for New Plymouth. Advice has been received through the local agents that the Union Company s Waipiata sails from Auckland on Friday afternoon for Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunedin and Bluff. ’ The Waipiata is due at Bluff on Thursday September 7. sailing the following day 'for ■ Wellington and Auckland via coastal ports. The Union Company’s Waikouaiti sailed from Sydney at 5 p.m. on Friday for Bluff direct (report the local agents). The Waikouaiti is due here to-morrow morning, sailing again the same day for Dunedin. The Waikouaiti has on board a shipment of 3000 cases of South Australian oranges. The New Zealand Shipping Company report through their local agents that the Rangitata is due at Bluff on September 15 to load cargo for London, sailing finally from Auckland on September 29. She is due to reach London on November 1.

The Gisborne Harbour Board has notified the Marine Department that the buoy marking Tokomaru Rock has been replaced. It was recently washed away. Advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the motor ship Rangitiki arrived at Panama on August 22 after a smart passage of 19 days from Auckland. The vessel sailed from Colon last Wednesday for London. The Matson liner Lurline, which visited Auckland last February on a Pacific cruise, will call at Auckland in February next year, during a similar trip. The liner will leave San Francisco on January 23. and is due at Auckland on Saturday, February 10. She will spend the week-end at Auckland, and will sail the following Monday for Sydney, returning to San Francisco by way of the East. PACIFIC COAST SERVICES.
