FIRE IN THE AIR
PILOT LANDS SAFELY.

When a fire occurred at midnight in a Marseilles mail plane the pilot ordered the wireless operator to jump with the parachute which was safely accomplished. He landed on the banks of the river Lire. Despite the darkness the pilot meanwhile mastered the flames and despite damage to one of the three engines descended safely at the Lyons aerodrome.
