FROZEN BEEF
OTTAWA AGREEMENTS BENEFITS TO DOMINIONS NO LIMITATION IN 1934 (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, October 27. Dr L. Burgin in the House of Commons, in reply to questions, said the maximum increase of 10 per cent, contemplated under the Ottawa agreements in the case of frozen beef would give an additional quantity of about 105,000 cwt to Australia in 1933 and 40,000 to New Zealand for the season ending September 30, 1933. Limitation of the dominion’s exports would not be applied in 1934 and he did not think there would be any further limitation of Britain’s foreign meat imports beyond the figures stated in the Ottawa agreements, or would there in any sense be a departure from the spirit thereof.
