EDUCATIONAL FILMS

DEPUTATION TO MINISTER. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 26. The desirability of raising the standard of public appreciation of cinema films was stressed by a deputation from the Wellington Society for the Protection of Women and. Children which waited on the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. Adam Hamilton). He replied that he realized the importance of the matters raised and would consider them. The deputation suggested the formation of a central committee to work possibly in conjunction with the Censor’s Office, also free educational programmes as national propaganda by the Government demonstrating the scope of films, and the reorganization of the Censorship Department to allow of a grading of films.
