THE WAGES DISPUTE. REQUEST FOR GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 12. The Hon. A. Hamilton to-day told a Maori deputation that he would confer with the Prime Minister in regard to their request for the Government to intervene in the shearers’ dispute and would give a reply later. The Maoris said they were at a disadvantage wnen it came to individual bargaining.
