A. & P. ASSOCIATION

MEETING OF WINTON COMMITTEE. At a meeting of the committee of the Winton A. and P. Association on Friday evening last, the president, Mr F. Moore, presided. The Winton branches of the Plunket Society and the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union applied for permission to erect a stall on the grounds on Show Day. The request was granted. It was agreed to hold this year’s annual fixture on Saturday, December 3, entries to close on Monday, November 28. The question of holding the annual re-union of the association was brought up and it was decided to hold a smoke concert on Friday, November 11. Judges were selected and the following were appointed marshals: Draughts, Mr Donald Macdonald; light horses', Mr C. M. Lindsay; cattle, Mr A. D. Calder; sheep, Mr J. G. Manson; competitions, Dr. P. Gow; baking, Mr J. T. Smith; dogs, Mr C. Mcßae. Canvassers for the various districts were appointed.
