MINOR FLOODS TWO ROADS BLOCKED SPORTS FIXTURES PUT OFF (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, March 24. Heavy rain set in on 'Wednesday night and continued for the greater part of today, necessitating the postponement till to-morrow of the annual bowling, tennis and golf tournaments. Two roads are blocked by floods m the Otago district. At Waitahuna this afternoon, the service car passengers had to be transferred across the flood in a horsedrawn vehicle, but some cars were towed through. It is not expected that the flood will subside till 7 p.m. and the Otago Motor Clyb advises intending tourists not to attempt the trip past Waitahuna till to-morrow morning. Water is lying to a depth of several feet on the BalcluthaOwaka road at Romahapa and through traffic is impossible.
