QUARRY MANAGER INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, March 24. A runaway truck at Karori Park quarry yesterday afternoon dashed down the line and crashed into the shed at the end of the line, crushing Mr J. Greig, the quarry manager, who was in the shed at the time. Mr Greig received a fractured pelvis and injuries to his head and back, and he was taken to the hospital. DEATH OF MOTOR CYCLIST. Auckland, March 25. John Joseph Hilary Follas, single, aged 23, of Avondale, died in the Auckland Hospital this morning from head injuries received as a result of a fall from a motor cycle. The machine skidded on Wednesday morning. Follas received medical attention, later proceeding home. .Complications set in and« Follas had to be admitted to hospital. This was the second case of its kind in Auckland since Wednesday when Frederick Wheelhouse died from head injuries suffered when knocked down by a car. He was treated at a dispensary and taken home, the injuries developing seriously some hours later.
