TOWN CLERK’S LAPSE

THEFT OF £lll4. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, March 24. In the course of his evidence a detective said that, according to the accused, about £6OO had gone into a butchery business at Upper Hutt. He understood that that was recoverable.
