Earl Stanhope, replying in the House of Lords for the Government on the debate on the recommendations of the joint Select Committee on closer union in East Africa, said the Colonial Secretary was not yet in a position to announce his policy with regard to the recommendations, but he was about to appoint' a committee to go into the whole question of land tenure in Kenya.
