CENTRAL DISTRICT. KAI ORA CLUB. (From Our Correspondent.) At the annual meeting of the Kai Ora (Forest Hill) Basketball Club on Thursday evening last the president Mr W. Norman, presided over a good attendance of members. The annual report, which was adopted, disclosed that the club’s team had retained the premiership of the Central District with the Winton Club’s team runner-up. A vote of thanks was accorded the retiring president, Mr W. Norman. Office-bearers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Mr W. Maclean (Winton); vice-presidents, Mesdames R. Norman, J. Collett, W. Maclean, J. Hunt, Messrs W. A. Norman and A. H. Rose; captain Miss M. Collett; vice-captain, Miss E. Norman; secretary, Miss A. Butler; treasurer, S. Norman. WINTON CLUB. At the annual general meeting of then Winton Basketball Club the president, Mrs J. P. McWilliam was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. It was decided that the opening day be held on April 7, and it was proposed that the function be a combined opening with the Winton Rovers Club. LIMEHILLS CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the limehills Basketball Club was held on Wednesday, March 16. Mrs W. J. Cowie (vice-presi-dent) presided. The annual report and balance-sheet for the 1931 season were adopted. 1

The following office-bearers were elected: President, Mrs W. J. Cowie; vice-presidents: Mrs J. Thomson, Messrs J. Doherty and J. Stewart; secretary and treasurer, Miss N. Crowe; coach, Mr R. Reid; selectors, Mrs Cowie and Mr R. Reid; delegates to C.8.5.U., Mesdames W. Cowie and H. Doherty. Misses Wilson (2), and N. Crowe; captain, Miss N. Wilson; deputy-captain, Mrs 11. Doherty. It was decided to purchase new nets for the basketball poles. It was also decided that the club pay all travelling expenses, and that tenders be called for marking tho basketball court and erecting poles. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 9.
