MILLHAND’S DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) Taumarunui, March 10. Samuel Joseph Bond, aged 24, single, a millhand, committed suicide in a determined manner at Te Koura. He placed plugs of on the ground and lay over them, the explosion blowing the body to fragments. At the inquest a verdict of suicide whilst of unsound mind was returned. FATAL DIVE. Wellington, March 10. At the inquest on George Robert Robertson, aged 25 years, the evidence showed that the deceased must have struck his head <fn the bottom when he dived into the shallow end of the Te Aro swimming bath, thus breaking his neck. The verdict was in accordance with the medical evidence.
