CRICKET
EASTERN B TEAM DEFEAT SOUTHLAND HIGH. At Wyndham on Wednesday afternoon the Eastern District B team played a team representing the Southland High School and won by a margin of 33 runs. The weather was fine and the ground in excellent order, the fixture being a most enjoyable and interesting one. High School opened well, Uttley and Mackie making an excellent stand. After their dismissal, however the remaining batsmen were disposed of very cheaply. Several of the Eastern batsmen registered double figures, Davidson and Robertson giving bright displays to score 46 and 27 respectively. The details were:— EASTERN B.
