RIFLE SHOOTING
THE GORE CLUB. The first of this season’s competitions was fired by the members of the Gore Defence Rifle Club last week, the ranges being 300 and 500 yards. Top score was made by Rifleman I. Greenfield with 95, including a handicap of seven points. Silver spoons are being presented each week to the members making the highest range scores, and these were won by I. Greenfield at the 300 yards range with 47, including a handicap of four, and at 500 yards by A. Hay with 48, including a handicap of two. The following are the detailed scores, handicaps being given in parentheses:—
