MR LANG’S PROPOSALS

PREFERENCE FOR UNIONISTS. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright) Sydney, December 17. The Premier, Mr Lang, announced in the Assembly that legislation providing for preference for unionists throughout New South Wales would be introduced early in the New Year. He also announced on behalf of the Ministry' that the new taxation of 10 per cent, on winning bets would operate from Saturday' next.
