TAHITI’S ENGINEERS

HONOURED BY INSTITUTE. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, September 22. During a smoke concert held by the New Zealand Institute of Marino Engineers, Mr P. Davey, vice-president of the institute, presented emblems of the institute to Messrs A, Thomson (second engineer), H. Waring, E. 8. Fraser (engineers) and W. Brown (electrician) lately .of the Tahiti. Mr Davey, in making the presentation, referred to the wonderful work of 'the engineers in a time of crisis on the Tahiti. Extreme modesty was shown by all. Mr Davey said that the presentation of the emblems was the highest honour that the institute could bestow.
