ALLEGATIONS OF BETTING. MAGISTERIAL INQUIRY. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, December 11. Following upon investigations made at the Chief Post. Office, Auckland, by two departmental inspectors into allegations of betting by operators during the Takapuna Jockey Club’s meeting on November 30 and December 2, an inquiry is to be held in the Magistrate’s Court next week before Mr J. K. Hunt, S.M. The inquiry, which will not be open to the Press or public, is expected to last tor several days.
