£lOOO A FOOT PAID. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, February 8. A big city property deal is reported in High street, where the freehold of the Empire Hotel has been sold for £32,000. The purchaser is Mr R. Sierakowski, present licensee and owner of the White Swan Hotel, and the vendors, the trustees of the Carl estate. The price paid is equivalent to over £lOOO a foot.
