GENERAL NOBILE’S FLIGHT. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rome, April 14. General Nobile’s airship has left Milan for Spitzbergen.—Australian Press Association. A PRIVATE FLIGHT. WELLINGTON TO AUCKLAND. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, April 15. Mr. D. Mill, who left Wellington on Saturday in his moth aeroplane accompanied by a passenger was compelled to make a forced landing at Kawhia owing to the weather conditions.
Mr. Mill made a good landing on the beach without mishap. He continued his flight to Auckland this morning and reached his flying ground in time for lunch after a very bumpy journey owing to the prevalence of air pockets.
