NICARAGUAN ELECTIONS
SUPERVISION BY UNITED STATES. PRO-AMERICAN DEMONSTRATION. (Rec. 9.40 p.m.) Managua (Nicaragua), March 26. On the orders of the Liberal Party’s Central Committee demonstrations in favour of the United States supervision of the elections were held throughout the country to-day. The paraders cheered wildly before the United States Legation and heard speeches delivered in the National Place. One young Conservative attempted a coun-ter-demonstration, but was quickly arrested. —A. and N.Z.
