FINAL FLING

BEFORE MARRIAGE. FUTURE HUSBAND’S CASH. (Per United Press Association. I Auckland, March 24. A few nights ago a well-dressed woman visitor from Hawkes Bay rushed into a Remuera boardinghouse where she was residing and excitedly announced that she had been robbed of £l5O from her handbag and a diamond ring from her finger by a man who rushed at her. Inquiry by the detectives elicited a confession by the woman that she was about to be married. Everything had been arranged for the ceremony even to the prospective honeymoon and a nice little home. Her future husband had sent her from Hawkes Bay to Auckland to purchase her trousseau and furniture and had given her £l5O for this purpose. In reality the money had been dissipated in some mysterious and expensive manner, details of which were not available.
