FALSE PRETENCES
VALUELESS CHEQUES ISSUED. YOUTH COMMITTED TO BORSTAL INSTITUTE. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, July 12. In the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, Richard Seddon Templeman was committed to the Borstal Institute at Invercargill for not less than eighteefl months on eight charges of false pretences. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence on three charges of forging of signatures to valueless cheques, by which means goods and money were obtained.
