N.Z. POTATOES
IMPORTATION INTO AUSTRALIA. WILL NOT BE SOLD FOR SEED. Sydney, September 27. Regarding the protest against the importation of New Zealand potatoes from the New England district Mr Reynolds, senior agriculture instructor, says he can allay any fears that these potatoes will be sold for seed. A Glenfinnis firm which advertised New Zealand seed potatoes for sale has been informed of liability under the Quarantine Act if they sold New Zealand potatoes for seed. Mr Reynolds added that he had an assurance that the potatoes had not then arrived.—A. and N.Z.
