The League of Nations’ Maritime Conference decided to exclude coastal ships from the codification of maritime laws, while the recommendation for the inspection of seamen’s articles will deal only with general principles, those relating to hours of work and hygienic conditions having been struck ouk—A. & N-Z, Cable.
