A GREAT SIGHT. CLAMOURING FOR CLAIMS. Capetown, June 11. Prior to the rush to the Elandsputte diamond field (a new field in the Transvaal), mounted police swept 12 square miles of country to clear the ground. Approximately 10,000 diggers assembled seven and eight deep at the starting lines, Which were one and a-half miles long, clad in a variety of costumes from running togs to Oxford bags.
