UNUSUAL CHARGE

CIRCUS MANAGER IN COURT. (Per United Press Association? Auckland, March 18. The manager of Wirths’ Circus, Qeorge Anderson, appeared at the Police Court, when he was charged with bringing two revolvers into New Zealand without a permit, carrying the weapons beyond .the lirpits of his dwelling and also with having revolvers in his possession, not being the registered owner. Defendant pleaded guilty to the first charge bpt stated that he djd not carry the revolvers about with fii m - Sergeant Calwell said that Anderson had evidently thought that as the Vfeapons were registered in Australia there was no necessity to register them" in the Dominion. The revolvers were used in connection with the circui performance. The case was brought merely as a warning. “That’s all right, Mr Anderson,” the Magistrate. “You are convicted and discharged.”
