An exceptionally good threshing result has been reported to a representative of the Oamaru Mail. The crop operated upon was a 28-acre paddock of Webbe’s Challenge oats in the Maheno district. The oats were sown fpr green feed, and were fed off by sheep and then allowed to go forward to grain. The final result is an average of 105 bushels per acre.
