BLESSED MATRIMONY
IRELAND TAXES BACHELORS. London, March 17. A bachelor tax is to be introduced in the Civil Service of the Irish Free State. In future unmarried men will receive £392 yearly, equalling women’s pay, and married men £524, plus an allowance for children. Bachelors receive a dowry when they marry.—Sun Cable.
