ST. JOHN’S CHURCH

CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT. The St. John’s Church children’s entertainment, held in the Victoria Hall last evening, attracted a large attendance, which found a great deal of pleasure in the programme provided by the children. The first part of the entertainment consisted of nursery rhymes dear to the heart of the young folk, and in these those who took part appeared to obtain as much enjoyment as the audience. In the second part of the programme the children gave the cantata 'Dame Durden’s School,” in which the singing and acting of the children were very pleasing. The following children took part:—Dorothy Abbott, Joyce Barnes, Rona Boyce, Irene Bryce, Dorothy Bennetts, Devina Dunham, Marjorie Hickey, Beth Le Hoyles, Babette Jennings, Margaret Jennings, Peggy Leaper, Mary Lush, Ruth Lush, Margaret Lush, June Mcffett, Celia Newman, Nancy Newman, Annie Pollok, Helen Sale, Barbara Sale, Julia Snow, Peggy Snow, Clare Smith, Mary Thompson, Nancy Watte, Dimpie Watts, Audrey Watson.
