“BY FORCE ONLY!”
THE RED INTERNATIONAL OF LABOUR UNIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, August 24. Speeches of a very wild description were delivered in the Memorial Hall, London, at the conference under the auspices of the Red International of Labour Unions. Mr Tom Mann, presiding, said: "We are not disruptionists, but men who know what we want. The Press, Church and other influences that may be against us can go to the deviL” Mr Glenville Durham said: 'lf you want anything you will only get it by brute massed force.” The conference adopted resolutions demanding a minimum wage of £4 weekly and the repeal of legislation against the working class, particularly against the use of armed forces in industrial disputes. The conference appointed Mr Tom Mann President of the Propaganda Bureau.
A resolution was passed opposing the Dawes Plan as a scheme of international tobbery.
