THE UNEMPLOYED

POSITION IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, July 7. Referring to the Labour Council’s cable to Mr Ramsay MacDonald, regarding the unemployed immigrants, the. State Premier (Sir George Fuller) said it was misleading and untrue. The records of the Department show only 98 migrants registered on the books for unemployment in the past three months. These were mostly unskilled workers who came out either on their own initiative or under the nominated system. Government funds always have been, and still are, available for destitute families, while help is obtainable from other sources for all persons in need.
