STORMY SCENES
UPROAR IN FRENCH CHAMBER. COMMUNISTS AND SOCIALISTS CLASH. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) PARIS, June 20. There was an uproar in the Chamber of Deputies last night, and the sitting was twice suspended—firstly, owing to a battle of expletives between the Rights and Lefts; secondly, owing to a fight with fists between the Communists and the Socialists at midnight. Socialists assaulted a Communist deputy, who declared that the Socialists were traitors to the working classes because they supported the Government. The Communists lushed to the support of their colleagues, and a melee ensued. A Communist deputy standing on a bench directed operations, whirling a belt around his head. The Radicals stood aghast while the Right and Centre deputies cheered ironically.
