Mrs Zangwill, the wife of the novelist, has just published a novel entitled “The Call.” Giovanni Papini’s autobiographical fragment, “Um Uomo Finite,” carrying his story to the point at which he could not believe in anything, not even his own soul, will shortly be published in its English version by Messrs Hodder and Stoughton. “A Man Finished” will be continued by ‘The Second Birth,” in which the author records his pilgrimage from the depths of despair to hifi new-found faith.
