SHORTAGE IN NEW YORK FUNDS (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, August 4. (Received August 4, 8 p.m.) The New York World reports the arrest of Robert Gibarie, charged with the theft of 136,000 dollars of the Russian Soviet’s funds. It is stated that a shortage of nearly a million dollars was discovered in Soviet funds deposited in a New York bank.
