POLICE COURT
At the Police Court yesterday morning the Magistrate, Mr G. Cruickshank, presided. UNLIGHTED VEHICLES. For cycling without a light the followirife fines were imposed:—Walter Anderson, £1 without costs; James Alfred Heathcate, 10s, with costs 7s. William Lyons, charged with driving an unlighted dray after dusk, was fined ss, with costs 7s. For driving a vehicle along the footpath William Hood and Walter Wilson were each fined 10s. FAILING TO ATTEND DRILL. Cases lir which the defendants were charged with failing to attend drill were dealt with as follow:—William Murray, fined £1 with 7s costs; Andrew Neilson, convicted and discharged; James Louis O’Connor, fined £1 with 7s costs; David Sellars, convicted and ordered to come up for sentence; Clarence Gordon Smith, fined 10s, no costs; Benjamin Wallis, fined £3 with 7s costs. CATTLE AT LARGE. For allowing cattle to wander George Corner was convicted and fined 10s without costs. CHARGE OF AN INFANT. Emily Sierik, charged with being an unlicensed person in charge of an intant, was convicted and-fined £2 with 7s costs.
