HOCKEY. (Per United Press Association), CHRISTCHURCH, August 18. At a meeting of the Canterbury Hockey Association it was decided in order to mark the celebration of peace to remove all suspensions imposed on players under its jurisdiction. The Port Nicholson has reached her* and trainer R. J. Mason’s team of thoroughbreds, owned by Mr G. D. Greenwood, of Canterbury, have been landed safely, the string including Gloaming, Afterglow, Haro, and the A.J.C. Derby candidate Rossini. FOOTBALL. FIXTURES, The following third grade fixture is set down for to-morrow: —Technical v. High School; Eastern Reserve at 3.15 pm.; referee, Mr J. Forester.
