'esterday a monster picnic, attended by r,i)l*o persons, was held at Ilimkura State i-’anii. in recognition of services rendered l>y specials to the Auckland ■farming communitv during the strike. The Hons. W. F. .Massey and W. H. Kerries. and .Mr 11. I'. Pollard. M.P., were among those present. Ilronze medals provided hy the Auckland Citizens' League. were presented to those who took part in keeping the flag Hying. The Premier. in making the presentations, said that the Government took the only stand possible. Each medal is engraved with n horseman, tlie Auckland city arms anti tin- name of the recipient.
