GERMANY’S GOLD STORAGE
PAYING OUT IN PAPER. Times—Sydney Stun Special Cable. BERLIN, August 20. The shortage of gold is assuming a serious aspect. The Government is increasing its gold reserves in readiness for a possible war or economic crisis, and has instructed the Departments to retain all gold and pay out paper money.
