Received August 19. 8.5 p.m. Mr Tudor, ex-Minister of Customs, created a sensation in the House by stating that the Government proclaimed the Sugar Bounty and Excise Abolition Act at a time when the Colonial Sugar Co. held huges reserves, on which duties amounting to one hundred thousand srcrllng would have been levied bad the proclamation been slightly delayed.
