DISINFECTANTS—GOOD AND BAD. United Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 3, 1913. The Hospital Board had before it today an interesting letter from its bacteriologist on the subject of disinfectants. Dr Pearson said only one of the fluids submitted was really good ; the others were practically useless as disinfectants. He had examined four powders and found all poor. He promised to submit a detailed report if asked. He further slated that an uncorked solution from one powder developed a vigorous growth of bacteria in a few days. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., has just received a telegram from their Christchurch branch that their tender for QuihcU’s '‘Korol” Fluid Disinfectant (for which they are agents! lias been accepted by the Christchurch Hospital and Charitable Aid Board PALGETY AND CO LIMITED.
